JUDGMENT OF RECORD ·
Wallets are becoming brokers. GCash is selling its parent's $7B IPO inside the app, and Rain wants a federal charter to issue and hold stablecoins itself.
Mynt, the parent of GCash, opened its retail offer on Oct 6 at P6.60 a share, 34% below the earlier P10 ceiling, for a value of about $7B. GCash users can buy their first 100 shares through GStocks PH in the app, with fills from Oct 8. Mynt said on Oct 8 the deal was oversubscribed several times. Listing is set for Oct 20 under the ticker GCASH.
On Oct 6 Rain applied to the OCC for Rain National Trust Bank, to handle custody, reserves and stablecoin issuance now done by third parties. It would take no deposits and make no loans. The ICBA sued the OCC this month over such charters. On Oct 7 HSBC UK was reported to be cutting about 70% of its financial advisers.
The layer moving is distribution. A wallet with 41.5 million monthly users can place securities with retail buyers directly, the job brokers and banks did. Distribution Capture governs. Confidence is Medium: the offer terms are filed, but retail take-up through GCash is not yet public.

WHAT WOULD PROVE THIS WRONG
Mynt's listing slips past Oct 31, 2026, or the OCC rejects Rain's trust charter application.
